DP Printing Site

A site created for Digital Pro Printing, a large printing company located in San Diego, CA. This site contains some custom work, in particular:

Joomla and other PHP-based sites have particular difficulty handling large file uploads. Printing companies like Digital Pro rely on large to huge file uploads so their customers can remotely send print jobs. Unfortunately, since Digital Pro required the ability to allow 600MB file uploads, PHP just didn't work. To overcome this difficulty, our programming team built a custom upload module using PERL. This overrides the base Joomla upload system, and, to be honest, took some time to figure out how to develop! The final result is DP Printing can accept up to 1GB file uploads of multiple files in all design file types. A progress bar shows the client how their upload is doing, and an email automatically notifies all parties of successful upload.
