I had the pleasure of working with Dave while serving in the US Navy. Dave was the ship’s Chief Petty Officer over the IT department. As a wannabe techie, and ship’s unofficial Webmaster, I was immediately drawn to work with Dave. He helped with a complete overhaul and redesign of the ship’s website. Soon after this project Dave again volunteered to work with the Junior Officers in the filming, editing and distribution of our Change of Command video. At the start of the project he had never used the video editing suite we had available. In true Dave fashion he purchased a book, read it and the next day was an expert editor. The final product was amazing. This creative side continues to show through in his more recent work with Aboutimage. It is of no surprise to me that Dave continues to find challenges and exceed others expectations. I hope that one day our professional paths may cross again.
